Chai Spiced Blondies

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp Kolkata Chai Mix
  • 1 Cup All Purpose Flour 
  • .5 Tsp Baking Powder
  • .5 Tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/8 Tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/3 Cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract 
  • 2/3 Cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • .5 Cup Walnuts [Optional]
  • 1/4 Tsp Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 Tsp Nutmeg Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Ground Clove
  • 1/4 Tsp Ground Cardamom
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

1. Steep the melted butter with your Kolkata Chai Co. Chai Mix (any kind) while you mix the dry ingredients.

2. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, kosher salt, and chai spices (not your KCC mix)

3. Set the bowl to the side

4. In a separate bowl, strain your melted butter and chai mix then add brown sugar (mix this while the melted butter is hot for a smoother texture)

5. Slowly combine the dry mixture with the butter + brown sugar mixture

6. Add in chocolate chips, walnuts (optional), and egg

7. Pour into a buttered 9x13 pan

8. Bake at 350 degrees for 28 minutes

9. Let cool before you cut to allow the blondie to set
